Silver Futures: Amanda Game in conversation with Professor Michael Burden

We are delighted to share Amanda Game’s new interview with distinguished Oxford University musicologist and Dean of New College Oxford, Professor Michael Burden.

Professor Burden has been an important advocate for linking contemporary silversmiths with historic College silver collections through imaginative modern commissions. In this conversation, Michael reflects on the role that silver has played, and continues to play, in the life of New College, Oxford.

The interview forms part of a wider, ongoing, occasional research project on College collections of silver, first shown through the 2023 Silver Futures project with St John’s College, Oxford.
